Obituary of Laura Springer

The passing of Laura Thelma Springer of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Monday, July 23, 2012 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born on March 4, 1927 in Connell, NB, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (Black) Stickney. Laura enjoyed playing Bingo, was a previous member of the I.O.D.E. and Home and School Association, was a former Sunday School teacher in Woodstock and was very devoted to her family. Laura is survived by her sons, Frank (Shirley) and Brent (Annette) all of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Scott, Matthew, Michael, Joseph, Jordan, Jami and Allison; great grandchildren, Kyler, Andrew, Breanna, Brooklyn, Drew, Carter, Ashton and Mary Jane; sisters, Helen (Andrew) Wolfe of Montreal, PQ, Mary Hatfield of Houlton, ME and twin sister, Lois (Conrad) Taylor of Windsor, NS; brother, Raymond (Joyce) Stickney of Halfiax, NS; several nieces and nephews. In addition to the father of her children, Burton Springer and her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Ernest Stickney, sister-in-law Myrtle and brother-in-law, Carvell. As requested by the family, there will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 11 am with Pastor Chris Bennett officiating. Interment will take place in Florenceville, NB.
