Obituary of Gary Saunders

The passing of Gary Leonard Saunders, husband of Joan (Kerton) Saunders of Fredericton, NB occurred on Friday, July 20, 2012 in Central Cambridge, NB. Born on July 16, 1947 in Penniac, NB, Gary was a son of the late Burpee and Alice (Banks) Saunders. Gary worked as a custodian at the Fredericton Northside Walmart. Gary enjoyed fishing and also loved to bowl. In addition to his wife, Gary is survived by step daughter, Elizabeth Kerton of Fredericton, NB; brothers, George (Mary) Saunders, Darrell (Dolly) Saunders both of Penniac, NB; mother-in-law, Jean Kerton; brothers-in-law, Ron (Marilyn) Kerton of Fredericton, NB, and Richard Kerton of Calgary, AB; sisters-in-law Judy (Irvine) Banks of Fredericton, NB, Gloria Shipp of Ontario and Marie Kerton of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Gary was predeceased by his sister, Anna Mae Duffy. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, on Monday, July 23 , 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held from Marysville United Church on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 2 pm with Rev. David Brewer officiating. Interment will be in Sunny Bank Cemetery.
