Thinking of you Marilyn at this time. You are such a family person I know you will feel the loss deeply. We all know what it is like to have loved ones go to Heaven before us but knowing we will reconnect at our own time gives us comfort to go ahead with the changes it makes in our lives. Know that we know how it feels and that our thoughts are with you and your Dad will always be with you in your memories...

Dear Grampie,
Thank you for your support, encouragement, wisdom, strength, laugh, love and most of all, memories of our times together. I will most remember the thumping of your heel as you sang:
"Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, Too-ra-loo-ra-li,
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, hush now, don't you cry!
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, Too-ra-loo-ra-li,
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, that's an Irish lullaby."
Til we meet again - keep the chain on the bicycle built for two well oiled as I'll be looking for a ride!
Love you!

There are no words that can trully pay homage to "My Dad"! He was a blessing to me
from the time I was born. I learned more lessons in life at one Family dinner setting
than I was ever taught in
school. He taught us love,
respect, honour, humour, and
how to live each day to its
fullest, and to always find
the best in everything.
He leaves us with a huge void
but memories to cherish a
lifetime.
Stay warm, Dad, you had
miles to go before you slept!
Love,Love, Jan xoxoxo

Dear Marilyn and all of the family,
I read with saddness about Charlie's death. I have so many wonderful memories from our early days on Aberdeen Street right to my Mom's final years at Ste. Anne's Court. It was always so nice to see him when we went to visit Mom.
He was a wonderful man who gave wonderful things to his
community.
My condolonces to all of you.

Grampie, I will miss you… My grandfather was a extraordinary man, Mom calls him her hero, and I too look up to Grampie for how he raised his girls and cherished his wife. He always provided simple but true life lessons and wisdom… 'Muchos gracias' is what Grampie said in the hospital recently, I say that back to him for teaching me all he did. Will always be remembered with a smile from my heart.

My Dad is the most honorable man I have ever met. Not only was I lucky enough to call him Dad but he was also my one and only real life hero. His dedication to family, service to community, strong work ethics and good morals will be the legacy he leaves behind as we, his family, follow his example. I will miss him terribly but take comfort in knowing his soul is soaring with Kim, Karen and Mom. Rest Well Dad - I love you to the moon and back!!

To The Family Of Charles West: I grew up next door to the York Arena back in the 50's & 60's. I spent many hrs watching Charlie & Burton coaching the bantam hockey teams.I always admired the way he treated his players, the respect that he had from the kids he coached. The way he conducted himself, leading by example,he was somebody a young boy could look up to, a very fine man. He left many of us with wonderful memories growing up & playing hockey in Fredericton. Sincere condolences to his family! Mike McEvoy

To the Family of Charlie West:
I was very saddened to learn of Charlie's passing. I lived near Diamond Construction and delivered the TJ to Charlie every morning for at least 2 years when I was very young. I was a product of organized minor hockey in the late '50s, mostly due to the time and effort Charlie gave to our community. Charlie should be in the Hockey Hall of Fame because of the impact he had on our young lives. He was a great and compassionate man - one of the greatest Frederictonions ever. RIP Charlie and thank you so much.
Chris Fisher
