Obituary of Ronald Hawkins

Ronald “Ronnie” Edmond Hawkins, born on October 09, 1924, was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, died by accident, at his home in Burton, NB on Sunday, July 01, 2012. Ronnie is survived by his sister, Louise Borland; “Gramps” will be sadly missed by his grandchildren and great grandchildren, Gary Hawkins (Louise), Darryl Hawkins, Tanya Arsenault (Shayne), Chris Cogswell (Mel), Kelly Petersen (Mike), Kim Lyster (Brent) and Katie Cogswell (Ian). Ronnie was predeceased by his parents, Guy and Louise Hawkins; his wife, Margaret (Crockett) Hawkins; sons, Ron “Gary” and Eric; daughter, Marie Cogswell; brothers, Gerald Hawkins and Warren Hawkins and sister, Elsie. Ronnie served in the Canadian Air Force and then he became an apple farmer by trade and later in life a land developer. Ronnie’s greatest pleasures were spending time with his family, reminiscing, spending days at the camp, hunting, fishing and being out on his Argo. Ronnie had a tale for all and with his quick wit an answer for everything. Those that knew him will truly miss his understanding ways and know that he is rejoined with his only love Marg and their family. A Memorial Service will take place from York Funeral Home’s T.
