Obituary of Ethel Ennis

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Ethel Theresa Ennis of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Joseph S. Ennis which occurred on Friday, June 29, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 3, 1930 in Bar Haven, NF, she was the daughter of the late James and Minnin (Shea) Flynn. She was a member of St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church. Ethel was an amazing mother, grandmother and had many friends of all ages. Ethel is survived by her daughters, Linda Mockler (Jeffrey) of Fredericton, NB, Sharon White (Eric) and Yvonne Jursack (Gabe) both of Vancouver, BC, Edwina Corey (Randy), Joanne Wyman (Peter), Marilyn Ennis-Cornford (Mark) all of Fredericton, NB and Wendy Blizzard (Tim) of Moncton, NB; sons, Gary Ennis (Shelly) of Halifax, NS, Brian Ennis, Joseph Ennis (Dan) and Terry Ennis (Carol) all of Vancouver, BC; 26 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Theresa Flynn of St. John’s, NF; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Ethel was predeceased by her sister, Mary Kelly; brothers, John and Patrick. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Monday, July 2, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 12 noon with Father John Jennings as celebrant. Pallbearers for the service will be Adam Corey, Ryan Corey, Christopher Ennis, Brendan Cornford, David Cornford, Peter Kyle Wyman and Shawn Blizzard. Interment will take place in St. Anthony’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice.
