Obituary of Michael Lyons

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Michael John Lyons of Fredericton, NB, which occurred on Monday, June 25, 2012. Born on March 14, 1987 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of Richard and Cami (Watson) Lyons. He was a Switchboard Operator at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Michael’s pride and joy was his cat “Andy”, he loved working out at the gym, traveling to big cities and was an avid Madonna fan. Michael will be remembered for his kind and gentle ways, radiant smile, and compassion for others. In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by his sister, Melinda Lyons of Fredericton, NB; maternal grandmother, Carol Morton (Keith); paternal grandmother, Gretta McConnell; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Michael was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Brian Watson; paternal grandfather, Jack Lyons; cousin, Ricky Hovey and aunt, Norma Furlong. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, on Friday, June 29, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 11 am with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will take place at Fredericton Rural Cemetery.
