Obituary of Lyle Burtt

The passing of Lyle Ernest Burtt of Lincoln, NB, husband of Mae (Williams) Burtt, occurred on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on December 3, 1940 in Burtts Corner, NB, he was a son of the late Ernest and Estella (Jones) Burtt. Lyle retired from E.W. Clowater as a Sheet Metal Worker. In addition to his wife, Lyle is survived by his sons, Craig Burtt (Krista) of Lincoln, NB, Gary Burtt of Fredericton, NB and Dwayne Burtt of Marysville, NB; daughter, Faye Downing (Tim) of Lincoln, NB; grandchildren, Jonathan Chappelle, Brittany and Patrick Sullivan, Jayden and Alexandrea Downing; sisters, Phyllis Brewer and Myrna Foster both of Fredericton, NB; sisters-in-law, Della Brewer of Fredericton, NB and Juanita Brewer of Nanaimo, BC; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Norman and Debbie (Sherwood) Williams and Wes Clowater. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Farrell, Russell and Merlin Brewer. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Saturday, June 11, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at 4 pm with Brent Bishop officiating. Pallbearers for the service will be Jeff and Ducan Clowater, Fred Hossack, Frank Dusablon, Stu Smythe and Bill Randall; Honourary Pallbearers are Wes, Jack and Gordie Clowater, Keith Arbeau, Lloyd Hetherington and Lloyd Anderson.
