Obituary of George Orr

The passing of George E. Orr of Mount Hope, NB, husband of Bonnie Wilson occurred on May 29, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on January 8, 1948 in Woodstock, NB, he was the son of Arlyne J. (Smith) Orr and the late Kenneth L. Orr Sr. George enjoyed camping, motorcycling and woodworking. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his son, Jeff Wilson (Lisa) of Fredericton, NB and granddaughters, Katelyn and Maddy; his daughter, Juliaanne Dacko of Texas and grandson, Gabriel; sister, Ellen Sprague (Alan) of St. Stephen, NB; brothers, David Orr (Susan) of Cole Harbor, NS and Kenneth L. Orr (Rosemary) of Halifax, NS; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a few very special friends. Besides his father, George is predeceased by one infant sister. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, June 2, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, June 3, 2011 at 2 pm with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Honourary Pallbearers for the service will be Russell Currie, Jeff Colford, Clarence Tabor and Llewellyn Mills. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
