Obituary of Ruby Godsoe

The passing of Ruby E. Godsoe of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Clayton Mills Godsoe occurred on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on June 21, 1916 in Canterbury, NB, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Addie (Way) Grant. Ruby retired after teaching school for 32 plus years. She was a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church, Dominion Life Member of the Grace Matheson Missionary Society, Life Member of Sir Howard Douglas Chapter IODE and a member of the New Brunswick Society of Retired Teachers. Ruby is survived by her daughter, Sheila Sandwith of Fredericton, NB; great grandsons, Troy and Jason Sandwith; great granddaughter, Christieann; great great granddaughter, Hailey; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her grandson, Phillip Sandwith; sister, Velma Anderson; brothers, Clifford and Saunders Grant and son-in-law, Donald Sandwith. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Saturday, May 21, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Grace Memorial Baptist Church on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at 2 pm with Rev. Doug Hapeman officiating. Interment will take place in Benton United Cemetery.
