Obituary of Cedric Pugh

The passing of Cedric “Ced” Armand Pugh of Burtts Corner, NB, husband of Audrey (Conley) Pugh, occurred on Monday, May 16, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on January 3, 1936 in Burtts Corner, NB, he was the son of the late Stanley and Margaret (Brewer) Pugh. He was a member of the Burtts Corner Church of Christ. Ced was a Parts Manager with Rosser Sales and Equipment. He also worked as a Parts Editor for various CASE Heavy Equipment Dealers. In his early years, he enjoyed fishing, gardening and beekeeping. Ced will be remembered as a handyman that could fix anything. In addition to his wife, Ced is survived by his daughter, Dr. Denise Pugh of Fredericton, NB; sons, Tracy Pugh (Shelley Trenholm) of Charters Settlement, NB and Trevor Pugh (Debbie) of Minneapolis, Minn.; grandchildren, Bradley, Erika, Mariah, Sarah, Ashley and granddog, Mo; sister, Gayle Dunphy (Alonzo) of Dorn Ridge, NB; brothers, Dr. Paul Pugh (Joyce) of Moncton, NB, Patrick Pugh of Fredericton, NB and Ritchie Pugh of Burtts Corner, NB; two sisters-in-law, Miriam Pugh of Burtts Corner, NB and Ida Pugh of PEI; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Carl Foster. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Chloe Wade and brothers, John and Joseph Pugh. Visitation will take place at Burtts Corner Church of Christ on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place from the church on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 2 pm with Pastor Graham Crandall officiating and Dan Foreman assisting. Pallbearers for the service will be Tracy, Trevor, Bradley, Brent and Kelvin Pugh and Stephen Wade; Honourary Pallbearers are Jack Johnson, Kermit Smith, John Brewer, Garry Gilbert, Robert Jones, Tom Egers and Kerry Jones. Interment will take place in Burtts Corner Community Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation, New Brunswick Lung Association or the Canadian Red Cross.
