Obituary of Kathleen Marshall
The passing of Kathleen “Kay” Clara Marshall of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Charles Marshall, occurred on Monday, May 9, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on June 1, 1930 in Minto, NB, she was the daughter of the late Harley and Melise (Daigle) Quigley. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church. Kay worked for the Cotton Mill in Marysville, NB.
Kay is survived by her children, Debbie Saunders (John), Charles Marshall (Jackie), Wanda Scott (Ivan), Alan Marshall, Tim Marshall and Anne Arnold (Brian Elliott); ten grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; siblings, Ernest Quigley (Pauline), Gordon Quigley (Albertine) and Zelma Caterini (Armand); aunts, Ida Valanne of Minto, NB and Hilda Ferguson of Saint John, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Kay was predeceased by her sister, Eva Crawford and infant brother, Harley Quigley.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, May 12, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at Our Lady of Fatima Church on Friday, May 13, 2011 at 11 am with Father Aaron Knox as celebrant. Pallbearers for the service will be Doug Marshall, Kaine Marshall, Ben Scott, Mike Gilbert, Justin Marshall and John McLellan. Interment will take place in Alexander Gibson Memorial Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice.
