Obituary of Fraser Urquhart

The passing of Fraser Irvine Urquhart, of Fredericton, husband of the late Eula (Haines) Urquhart, occurred on May 5, 2011 at the DVA Veterans Health Unit. Born October 31, 1921 in Taymouth, NB, he was a son of the late William and Louise (Fraser) Urquhart. He was a Veteran of WWII. In his early years, Fraser worked for the CNR and then as a Stationary Engineer for the Canadian Forestry Service. Fraser is survived by his daughter, Deanna Urquhart (Ned McKay) of Fredericton; grandson, Randy Urquhart; great granddaughter, Makayla Marie Urquhart; sister-in-law, Phyllis Urquhart of Fredericton, NB; brother-in-law, Bliss Haines of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by twin brother, William Urquhart and sisters, Jean Dorcas and Ella Lovely. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Sunday, May 8, 2011 from 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Monday, May 9, 2011 at 1 pm with Rev. Ali Smith officiating. Interment will be held in the Taymouth Community Cemetery.
