Obituary of Cassandra Long

The passing of Cassandra Lois Alice Long of Fredericton, NB, wife of Greg Long, occurred on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on April 10, 1982 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of Lois (Hood) Fraser (Dale Fraser) and the late Tony Thornton. She worked as a server at Jives and was a personal fitness trainer. Cassandra loved her furry babies, Liza and Howard. In addition to her husband, mother and step father, Cassandra is survived by her brothers, Jordan and Jared Fraser of Prince William, NB; maternal grandmother, Mary Hood; paternal grandparents, Arden and Marguerite Thornton; external grandparents, Vernon and Arlene Fraser; parents-in-law, Daniel and Karen Long; brother and sister-in-law, Jeffrey Long (Katie) and their daughter, Sophie; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides her father, she was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Gordon Hood. A Public Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, May 6, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Private Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Rev. Forest Long officiating followed by a private interment in Sunny Bank Cemetery.
