Obituary of Leo Munn

The passing of Leo “Brud” Norad Munn, husband of the late M. Louise (Wilson) Munn, of McNamee, occurred on April 5, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on October 11, 1925 in Holtville, he was a son of the late Victor and Martha (Reid) Munn. Leo was retired from the Department of Transportation. Brud enjoyed fishing and hunting on the banks of the Miramichi. He was a member of the Luxor temple Scottish Rite, the Royal Canadian Legion, Boiestown Branch # 78, the St. John Ambulance – Boiestown Division and the Board of Trade.
Leo is survived by his daughters, Norma Clowater of Ludlow, Nova Kearsley (Steve) of Halifax, NS and Nancy Brown at home; five grandchildren, Kelly, Kimberly, Trudi, Shawn and Stacey; eight great grandchildren, Robbie, Alex, Brayden, Denver, Brooke, Thomas, Luke and Mackenzie; one sister, Ruth Henwood of Prince George, BC; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by four sisters, Dorothy Calhoun, Louise Munn, Glenna Wilson and Ada Hovey and brother, Clinton Munn.
There will be no services by request of Mr. Munn. A Private Family Graveside Service will be held from Porter Cove Cemetery at a later date. Donations may be made to the Boiestown Ambulance, Shriners or to the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.miramichivalleyfh.com
