Obituary of Laura Joslin

It is with great sadness the family wishes to announce the passing of Laura Agnes (Rosborough) Joslin of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Irvine Earle Joslin, which occurred on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital with her family by her side. Born in the Barony, NB on January 19, 1920 she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Ida (Simmons) Rosborough. Laura was a retired school teacher having taught in various schools in New Brunswick. In later years she worked in the office at E.W. Clowater and Sons. Laura was a member of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Fredericton. She was a former member of the church guild, Women’s Institute and the 55 Plus Club. Laura is survived by her daughter, Janet Joslin (Larry) of Maugerville, NB; son, Lloyd (Donna) Joslin of Beaver Dam, NB; two grandchildren, Tammy Lamey (Bill) and Jeremy Joslin; three great grandchildren, Kaylie Ann, Laura Jean and Jackie Dawn Lamey; sister, Gertrude Henry (Leland) of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at 11:00 am with Canon Bill MacMullin officiating. Interment will take place in St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
