Obituary of David Griffiths

The passing of David “Dave” John Griffiths of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Sunday, April 10, 2011, at home. Born on July 9, 1934 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of Jean (Wilson) Griffiths and the late Jack Griffiths. Dave worked in construction and maintenance with NB Power, retiring in 1999.
Dave is survived by his children, Jayne Griffiths-Ashton of Vancouver, BC, Andrew Griffiths (Wendy) of Calgary, AB, Nancy Griffiths (Stephen Sabean) of Hampton, NB and Joey Griffiths (Jed McCoy) of Maugerville, NB; their mother, Irma Trueman of Fredericton, NB; grandchild, Chelsea Griffiths of Edmonton, AB; sister, Joyce Simmons of Calgary, AB and niece, Jamie Lynn Vanalsdyne (Kelly) of Leduc, AB.
A Gathering of Friends will take place at Mama’s Pub, 500 Brookside Drive on Thursday, April 14, 2011 from 3-6 pm. Interment will take place in Fredericton Rural Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
