Obituary of Jean McFarlane

The passing of Jean Margaret McFarlane of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Ora McFarlane occurred on Friday, June 01, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on February 11, 1937 in Dorchester, NB, she was the daughter of the late Berry and Mary (Shea) Buck. She was a School Administrator for District 18. Jean was a member of Gibson Memorial United Church and the choir, also a well travelled member of Characters Incorporated. Jean is survived by her daughter, Deborah McFarlane (Marshall Dutcher) of Fredericton, NB; son, Derek (Valerie) McFarlane of Ottawa, ON; grandchildren, Skylar and Justin Dutcher, Alison, Kate and Greg McFarlane; great grandchildren, Jenna Sinclair and Skylar B. M. Dutcher; sisters, Kay Buck of Saint John, NB and Mary Stickles (Dr. Lee Stickles) of Fredericton, NB; brother, Don Buck (Maureen McKee) of Fredericton, NB; nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Jean was predeceased by her brother, Roy Buck and sister, Phyllis Stephens. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Monday, June 4, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Gibson Memorial United Church on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 2 pm with Rev. Cora Krommenhoek officiating. Interment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery.
