Obituary of Douglas Dunlap

The passing of Douglas “Doug” William Dunlap of Nashwaak Village, NB, husband of Valerie (Allen) Dunlap, occurred on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 11, 1946 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of Ruby (Sellick) Dunlap and the late Walter Dunlap. He was a self employed crackfiller and worked for Cowperthwaite Apartments for the last ten years. In addition to his mother and wife, Doug is survived by his daughters, Wendy Myshrall (Eric), Lori Myshrall (Donald), Alice Dunlap (Kevin) and Gail Dunlap; step son, Mark Lavigne; 13 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; siblings, Lois McLean, Robert Dunlap (Mary), David Dunlap and Ruth Ryan (Doug); several nieces and nephews. Besides his father, Doug was predeceased by his granddaughter, Tracy Allen-Dunlap. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, July 31, 2011 from 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at the Salvation Army Community Church on Monday, August 1, 2011 at 11 am with Captain Herb Goodridge officiating. Private Family Interment will take place in Fredericton Rural Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Lung Association or the charity of the donor’s choice.
