Obituary of Stewart Brewer
The passing of Stewart Dunning Brewer of Burtts Corner, NB, husband of the late Joy (Palmer) Brewer, occurred on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on October 20, 1930 in Burtts Corner, NB, he was the son of the late Perley and Emily (Bird) Brewer. Stewart had a love for farming and was employed with Atlantic Wholesalers for 38 years before retiring in 1993.
Stewart is survived by his daughter, Vickie Derrah (Hilton) of Burtts Corner, NB; son, Lewis Brewer (Cathy) of Brookfield, NS; grandchildren, Scott (Tara), Noel (Paula) and Brett (Sarah) Derrah, Kent (Karine) and Krystal (Tyler) Brewer; great grandchildren, Adam, Kaelen, Benjamin and Devon Derrah and Aidan, Liam and Noah Brewer; brother, Ralph Brewer and a dear special friend, Iona Brewer; several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Nora Jewett, Elva Fanjoy and Irma Haines and his brother, Carl Brewer.
Visitation will take place York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 2 pm with Pastor Gordon Weatherby officiating and Pastor Graham Crandall assisting. Pallbearers will be Goole Brewer, Paul Albright and grandsons, Kent Brewer, Scott, Noel and Brett Derrah. A Private Family Interment will take place in the Burtts Corner Community Cemetery.
