Obituary of Lloyd Bradford

The passing of Lloyd Clifton Bradford, husband of the late Mary Louise (Jensen) Bradford, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on August 19, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton. Born on January 7, 1932 in Plaster Rock, NB, Lloyd was a son of the late Frederick and Verna (Brewer) Bradford. Lloyd was a retired maintenance and air conditioning repairman with the Supply and Services Department of the Province of New Brunswick. He is remembered as a hard worker who looked after his family, enjoyed playing cards, spending time with his cat, Sam, and going for coffee with his “coffee group” at Chong’s Place. Lloyd was a veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy and served during the Korean War. Lloyd is survived by his two children, Jon Bradford of Virginia, USA and Jane Bradford of Fredericton, NB; two grandchildren, Jonathan and Christopher Bradford of Virginia, USA; sister, Carol Williams (Jim) of Cape Breton, NS; two brothers-in-law, Phill Jensen of Fredericton, NB and Reid Campbell (Bette) of Moncton, NB; sister-in-law, Sandra Bradford of Plaster Rock, NB; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and his best buddy, Sammy the cat. Besides his wife and parents, Lloyd was predeceased by two brothers, Russell and Robert; and one sister Mae. At Lloyd’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private graveside service will be held in Three Brooks, NB at a later date.
