Obituary of Patricia McSorley

The sudden passing of Patricia Carol McSorley, wife of John McSorley, of Kingsley, occurred on August 9, 2011 at her home. Born on September 18, 1951 in Fredericton, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Emelda Richard. Pat was a member of St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed angels, animals and playing bingo. Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, Andre (Georgina) of Australia; grandchildren, Daniel, Winnie and Maggie; sisters, Winnie Gill and Ann-Marie (Cleveland) Hovey all of Fredericton; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Mary DeGrasse, Odette Richard, Edna Perreault and Gertrude Hickey; brothers, Eugene and John Richard. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held from St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church on Friday, August 12, 2011 at 10 am with Father Monte Peters as celebrant. Interment will take place in St. Anthony’s Church Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
