Obituary of Eldon Morgan

The passing of Eldon Ross Morgan, of McLeod Hill, husband of the late Betty (Tucker) Morgan, occurred on August 2, 2011 at his home. Born on May 17, 1928 in Upper Hainesville, he was a son of the late Melvin and Alberta (Carr) Morgan. Eldon enjoyed being outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing and his vegetable garden. Eldon is survived by his son, Phillip (Marilyn) Morgan of McLeod Hill; grandchildren, Darren (Melanie) Morgan of Burtts Corner, Stacey Morgan of Saint John; step-granddaughter, Lisa Mazerall (Robert Berry) of Fredericton; great grandchild, Davin Morgan of Burtts Corner; step-great grandchildren, Tyler Duthie and Caden Mazerall both of Fredericton; sisters, Etta Graham of Springfield, Viola (Alvin) Morehouse and Janice (Orval) McHatten all of Hainesville; brothers, Emery (Carmel) and Partlow (Violet) all of Hainesville; sister-in-law, Rachel (Morgan) Brooks of Fredericton; brother-in-law, Burton Hoyt of Woodstock; several nieces, nephews, cousins and two special friends Roy Dykeman (Marjorie Sullivan). In addition to his wife, parents and daughter-in-law, Mary-Lou (Barry) Morgan, he was predeceased by his sisters, Helen Hoyt, Martha Morgan and Maxine Forbes; brothers, Marcus, Loren, Shirley and Floyd; sisters-in-law, Joyce and Vera Morgan; brothers-in-law, Edison Graham and Peter Forbes. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, August 5, 2011 at 11 am with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will take place in Ridgeview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandson, Darren Morgan; brother, Partlow Morgan; nephews, Eric Morgan, Joey Graham and Ricky Morgan and special friend, Roy Dykeman. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, to the Ridgeview Cemetery or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
