Obituary of Joseph Palmer

The passing of Joseph William Palmer, husband of Sandra (Morehouse) Palmer, of Fredericton, occurred on Friday, September 16, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 27, 1943 in Millville, he was a son of the late Joseph and Cynthia (Brigges) Palmer. Joseph was a carpenter with Hill Bros. Ltd. for several years. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Besides his wife Sandra, he is survived by his daughter, Janet Stewart (Jack) of Summerside, PEI; sons, Timothy (Louise) of Fredericton, Joseph (Angie) of Killarney Road and Danny of Fredericton; grandchildren, Robert, Nicholas, Brittany, Kienan and Mason; sisters, Inez Sarchfield (Stanley) of Knowlesville and Annie Carpenter of Cambridge Narrows; brothers, Weldon (Patty) and Norman (Carol) all of Millville, Larry (Elaine) of Temperance Vale, Haldean (Carrie) of Plaster Rock, George (Connie) of Killarney Road, Gary (Debbie) of Zealand, Franklin (Adelline) of Lower Brighton, NB and Frank (Darlene) of Millville; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Joseph was predeceased by his sister, Rita Perkins; brothers, Reginald and John and sister-in-law, Dorothy Palmer. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Saturday, September 17, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. A Funeral Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Sunday, September 18, 2011 at 2 pm with Rev. Allan Myshrall officiating. Pallbearers are James Sarchfield, Dana Palmer, Eldon Carpenter, Garry Palmer Jr. Dennis Palmer, Charles Lindsay and Glen Lindsay. Interment will take place at Hawkins Corner Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Hawkins Corner Cemetery would be appreciated. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
