Obituary of Curtis Moore

The passing of Curtis Mac Moore of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Dorothy (Legere) Moore occurred on Friday, December 2, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on October 10, 1920 in Marysville, NB, he was the son of the late Roy and Beatrice (Boyce) Moore. He did maintenance for the Beaverbrook Art Gallery. Curtis was a member of the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Frame – Baseball. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the trips to Salmon River; Curtis was a person who enjoyed life. Curtis is survived by is daughters, Brenda McLaughlin of Grand Manan, NB and Donna Goguen (Victor) of Scotch Lake, NB; sons, Randy Moore (Leigh) of Douglas, NB and Troy Moore (Joanne) of Marysville, NB; ten grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his sisters, Annie Allen, Ruth Laws, Lena White and Muriel Howland; his infant brother, Dowe and brother, Basil. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Monday, December 5, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at Crosspoint Church on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 2 pm with Rev. Conard Symonds officiating. Interment will take place in Olivet Cemetery.
