Obituary of Robert LaVigne

The passing of Robert “Bob” Paul LaVigne, husband of Adéline M. (Daigle) LaVigne, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on November 30, 2011 at York Manor Nursing Home. Born on March 30, 1940 in Hartland, NB, he was a son of the late James and Louise (Sullivan) LaVigne. Bob retired from the Chalmers Hospital. He was a member of Saint Dunstan’s Roman Catholic Church and of the Fredericton City Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Suzanne LaVigne (Doug McLeod) of Toronto, ON; brothers, Frederick (Hoa) of Toronto, ON and Ralph (Mona) of Vernon, Conn, USA; also son, Dewaine Laplante of Calgary, AB; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Margorie, Madeline, Irene and Donna; brothers, Raymond, Peter, Leo, James and Donald. Although there will be no visitation by request, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated from Saint Dunstan’s Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 12 noon with Father Bill Brennan as celebrant. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer Society (Lewy Body Disease) or to the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
