Obituary of Henry Landry
It is with great sadness that the family of Henry Alfred Landry, announce his passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Thursday, November 10, 2011. Born in Sussex, NB on March 22, 1942, Henry was the son of the late Allan and Sadie (Nee Verrill) Landry. Henry graduated from Fredericton High School in 1960 and went on to Business College where he pursued a career in Accounting. He worked for a number of businesses throughout his career including; Coca Cola, RS Coughlan, Elm Window & Door and Brenway Transport until his retirement in 2006. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends at his favorite spot, TNT Campground in Coles Island. Henry is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis (nee Hall) Landry who celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in August, his two daughters, Veronica Jamieson (Steve), New Maryland, NB, Marion D’Andrea (Troy), Sydney, NS and his son, Lee (Tara), Hanwell, NB; four grandchildren, Nikki and Ethan Jamieson, Ryan and Kristin Landry; one brother, Allan “Jim” Landry (Vivian), Keirsteadville, NB; three sisters, Joan Deeley (Garry), Fredericton, NB, Jean George (Bill), Trinity Bay, NL and Margo Landry, Saint John, NB; one sister-in-law, Marlene Landry, Cambridge Narrows, NB and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Henry was predeceased by a brother, Phillip and infant sister, Sadie. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Sunday, November 13, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A celebration of Henry’s life will be held on Monday, November 14, 2011 at 2 pm from All Saints Anglican Church, 172 Canada Street, Marysville, NB with Canon John Cathcart officiating. Pallbearers for the service will be Mac MacMillan, Willie Spence, Ralph Brown, Raymond Coughlan, Bill Sowers and Aubrey Fougere. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Caissie, Gary Morrison (unable to attend), Carl Jamieson and Burtis Brewer. A reception will follow in the Church Hall. For those who wish to make donations in memory of Henry, the family has suggested All Saints Anglican Church, Canadian Cancer Society or the Chalmers Hospital Foundation (Palliative Care Unit).
