Obituary of Ronald Nason
With great sorrow the family of Ron Nason would like to announce his death at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Sunday, November 6, 2011. Born on August 29, 1936 in McAdam, NB, he was the son of the late Irvine and Grace (Clifford) Nason. Ron was a 35 year Veteran of the Royal Canadian Engineers. He was a loving and supportive husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be sadly missed by many friends and relatives. Dad enjoyed hunting, camping, building and being with his many friends and family.
Ron is survived by his wife, Ethel Faye (Short) Nason; daughters, Rhonda (Robert), Leisa, Krista (Peter); son, Terry (Maria); grandchildren, Chelsea, Kaleigh, Tristan, Kaitlyn, Melissa, Trevor, Morgan, Sarah, Darcy, Shane, Jason, Jessica and Lindsay; great grandchildren, Ethan, Rowen, Gavin, Claudia, Sherry Anne, Jason Jr. and Logan and his sister, Ruth Morrison. He is predeceased by his brothers, Irvine Jr., Arthur and Wilfred; daughter, Sherry Anne Weatherbee and granddaughter, Chantal (Leblanc). Dad you are at rest and will be reunited with your darling daughter, Sherry.
A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 11 am with Rev. Peter Thomas officiating. Pallbearer for the service will be Terry Nason (son); Honourary Pallbearer for the service are Murray Short, Peter Leblanc and Daniel Losier. Interment will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society and would be appreciated by the family.
