Obituary of Gordon Jones

The passing of Gordon Eugene Jones of Fredericton, NB, husband of Audrey (Chapman) Jones occurred on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on December 2, 1931 in Keswick, NB, he was the son of Percy and Annie (Evans) Jones. He was the owner and operator of City Upholstery, retiring in 1998. Gordon had a love for small animals. In addition to his wife, Gordon is survived by his daughter, Kim Udsen (Derek) of Calgary, AB and son, Dan (Celeste) Jones of Chatham, ON; grandchildren, Jared Udsen, Ethan, Alex and Jocelyn Jones; brother, Paul Jones of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Bernice Cooper (Norris), Mavis MacAlpine (Stanley) and Maxine Haines (Austin); brothers, Charles, Russell and Lawrence Jones. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, October 28, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Graveside Service will take place at Fredericton Rural Extension Cemetery on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 11 am with Rev. Ralph Irving officiating.
