Obituary of Jean Bubar

The passing of Jean Marie Bubar of Nashwaak Bridge, NB, wife of the late Austin Bubar occurred on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Red Rock, NB, she was the daughter of the late John and Nettie (Pond) Douglass. She was a School Teacher in Boiestown. Jean enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, reading, crossword puzzles and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Jean is survived by her sons, David James Bubar (Lisa) and Brian Andrew Bubar all of Nashwaak Bridge, NB; four grandchildren, Thomas, Chelsey, Lucas and Berenger “Barry”; sisters, Eliona Young of Taymouth, NB, Elizabeth Smith (John) of Nashwaak Village, NB, Verona MacNaughton, Donnalene Flemming (Brad) and Diane Seely (George) all of Fredericton, NB; brothers, Louis Douglass (Florence) of Taymouth, NB, Guy Douglass (Ethel) of Stanley, NB and Stuart Douglass (June) of Nashwaak Bridge, NB; sisters-in-law, Muriel Bubar and Shirley Douglass both of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Johnny. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, October 21, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Taymouth United Church on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 2 pm with Rev. Franklin Curtis officiating. Pallbearers for the service will be Terry and Eldon Young, Kent Flemming, Rick Stewart, John Wilson and William Douglass; Honourary Pallbearers for the service are Archie Stairs, Robert MacNaughton, Rob Legros and Reggie Sanson. Interment will take place in Nashwaak Bridge Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Scleroderma Society or the Chalmers Foundation – Palliative Care Unit.
