The passing of Joseph “Joe” Murray Murch of Fredericton, NB, husband of Mary (Ebbett) Murch, occurred on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on June 21, 1924 in Macnaquac, NB, he was the son of Joseph and Margaret (Ebbett) Murch. He retired as a Farmer and Contractor. In addition to his wife, Joe is survived by his daughter, Mary Ann Caren of Ottawa, ON; sons, Peter John Murch and Matthew Murch (Karen) all of Harvey, NB; six grandchildren, Lindsay, Jennifer, Amanda, Lauren, Lucas and Logan; great granddaughter, Evangeline; brother, David Murch of Surrey, BC; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Murray Murch; grandson, Timothy Murch; sister, Ruth Timmins Pond; brothers, John and Ashley Murch. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 from 11am until time of the service. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 pm with Rev. Mary Tingley officiating. A reception will follow in the Fireside Room. A Private Family Interment will take place in Mactaquac Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Harvey High School Scholarship Fund or the Mactaquac Cemetery Fund. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
