Obituary of Gordon Seymour

The passing of Gordon James Seymour of Esteys Bridge, NB, husband of Marjorie Currie, occurred on Friday, April 20, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on February 07, 1932 in Nashwaaksis, NB, he was the son of the late Irvine and Hildred (Saunders) Seymour. Gordon had worked in accounting and sales for both Tractors & Equipment and Wood Motors. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church and was a Past President of the Epislon Y’s Men. Gordon enjoyed square dancing, hunting, fishing, outdoors and travelling. He also was involved with Boys Scouts of Canada. In addition to his wife, Gordon is survived by his brother, Charles Seymour (Fran Montrose) of Fredericton, NB; step children, Wendy Sandwith (Winston) of Royal Road, NB, John Currie (Merriam Logan) , Alonzo Currie (Christine), Wanda Williams (Ron) all of Kingsley, NB; step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; nephew, Ted Seymour (Brenda) of Fredericton, NB; nieces, Linda Seymour of Toronto, ON, Dianne Seymour (Mike Bailey) of Fredericton, NB; six great nieces and nephews as well as several cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister in law, Hilda Seymour. A private Family Graveside Service will take place at the Woodland Cemetery with Canon Bill MacMullin officiating.
