Obituary of Myrle Gill

Myrle Ross Gill of Durham Bridge, NB, husband of the late Carolyn Lena (Elliott) Gill, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 16, 2012, at his home. Born on October 11, 1934 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Royden and Lottie (Gilks) Gill. He was retired from the Department of Transportation. Myrle enjoyed hunting, fishing and driving the country roads. Myrle is survived by his son, Ross Gill (Connie) of Durham Bridge, NB; step daughters, Corrina Wade (Blaine) of British Columbia, Karen MacKenzie (Dale) of Nova Scotia and Brenda Chevarie (Donald) of Nova Scotia; grandchildren, Rod, Jamie, Andy, Clayton, Trevor, Rebecca, Alex and Carolena; great grandchildren, Brandy and Mackenzie; sister, Betina Cameron of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews; his best canine friend, “Daisy”. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his brothers, Everett and Albert Gill. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, April 19, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 2 pm with Rev. Gil MacKenzie officiating. Interment will take place in Douglas Rural Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation, Fredericton SPCA or the charity of the donor’s choice.
