Obituary of Brent Lyons
Brent Harland Lyons, husband of Lorraine Fairley of Carroll’s Crossing, NB passed peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton with his wife by his side, following a nine year battle with interstitial lung disease. Born on February 27, 1963 in Fredericton, NB, Brent was a son of Harland and the late Nancy (Price) Lyons. He worked for the Department of Transportation, enjoyed 4-wheeling, canoeing and in previous years was an avid hockey player.
In addition to his wife and father, Brent is survived by one son, Gregory of Doaktown, NB; two daughters, Britney (Ashley MacDonald) of Doaktown, NB and Jessica Harris-Campbell (Lawrence) of McNamee, NB; two grandchildren, Jesse James and Savannah; one brother, Mark Lyons of Tracy, NB; special cousin, Della Jones of Fredericton; several nieces and nephews. Besides his mother, Brent was predeceased by one son, Joshua Lanktree; his grandmother, Renda Lyons; and his father-in-law, Patrick Fairley.
Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, New Bandon, NB on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from Miramichi Valley Funeral Home on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 2 pm with Father Joseph Okoko as celebrant. Pallbearers are Tony Fairley, Dany Thibodeau, Bobby Lyons, Jeff Porter, Keith Wilson and Wynn Price. Interment will be in St. Joachim’s Catholic Cemetery.
