The passing of Leonard Joseph Mallaley of Burtts Corner, NB, husband of the late Nellie (Howe) Mallaley occurred on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at home. Born on December 17, 1933, he was the son of the late Thomas and Maria Mallaley. He was a labourer and woodsman. He was affiliated with the Victory Tabernacle Church and Apostolic Watchmen Church of Pentecostal, Burtts Corner, NB. Leonard enjoyed playing guitar, camping, hunting and especially loved his family. Leonard is survived by his daughter, Gail Anne Mallaley of Hanwell, NB; grandchildren, Sarah K. Springer (Ryan) of Burtts Corner, NB, Krystal G. Springer of Fredericton, NB and Mickala Mallaley of NB; eight great grandchildren; brothers, Gordon Mallaley (Adeline), Walter Mallaley (May) and Stanley Mallaley (Mabel) all of Lorne, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his son, Stephen Leonard Mallaley. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Monday, April 9, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at the United Pentecostal Church of Geary on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 2 pm with Rev. Robert Foster officiating. Interment will take place in the Upper Geary Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the family to help with the funeral expenses.
