Obituary of Ernest Murray
Ernest Paul Murray of Noonan, NB, husband of the late Madaline (Munn) Murray, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on June 18, 1922 in Kenora, ON, he was the son of the late Arthur and Ida (Halley) Murray. He was a Veteran of WWII. Ernest worked as a woodsman. He was affiliated with the Pentecostal Church in Noonan.
Ernest is survived by his daughters, Annette Larlee (Danny) of Fredericton, NB and Faye Murphy (Tony) of Dartmouth, NS; sons, Arthur Murray (Ann) of Edmonton, AB and Ernest Jr. Murray (Debbie) of Durham Bridge, NB; step children, Dorcas Lyons of Holtville, NB, Rozella Harris of Fredericton, NB and Delbert Munn (Debbie) of Keswick Ridge, NB; 22 grandchildren; sisters, Rosanna Burrell (Glen) of Kamloops, BC, Rose Hall of Kenora, ON and Stella Hill (Jim) of Newcastle, ON; brother, William Murray (Evelyn) of Campbell River, BC; several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, Ernest was predeceased by his first wife, Doris Clarkson; brother, Gilbert Charlelois; sister, Florida Berthelette and brothers in law, Hank Berthelette and Garnet Hall.
Visitation will take place at New Road Pentecostal Church, Lower Durham on Thursday, April 5, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place from the church on Friday, April 6, 2012 at 2 pm with Rev. Lloyd Taylor officiating and Rev. Darren Munn assisting. Pallbearers for the service will be Douglas Lyons, Roger Lyons, Jimmy Munn, Bill Sowers, Allan McCoy and Don Nash. Interment will take place in Cameron Hill Cemetery, Holtville, NB at a later date.
