The passing of Brian Gordon Hitchcock of Keswick Ridge, NB, occurred on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on November 13, 1949, he was the son of Ruth (Watson) Hitchcock of Ortonville, NB and the late Gordon F. Hitchcock. In addition to his mother, Brian is survived by his children, Lindsay Hitchcock (Rob Debransky), Russell Hitchcock (Katie), Matthew Hitchcock (Victoria) and Adam Hitchcock and their mother, Linda Hitchcock; grandchildren, Jack, Leah, Amy, Noah and Esmé; siblings, Constance Kavanaugh (Larry), Deborah Scovil (John) and Michael Hitchcock (Sherry); several nieces and nephews. Brian was an Electrical Engineer with NB Power, retiring after 37 years. He was a Toronto Maple Leaf fan, who loved 60’s music; golfing, playing softball and poker. Brian the “Top Dog” was a mountain man who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, March 30, 2012 from 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 1 pm with Rev. Jim Rhyno officiating. Interment will take place at Pickard-Merrithew Cemetery, Keswick, NB. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Chalmers Foundation – Intensive Care Unit.
