Obituary of Rowena Sharpe

The passing of Rowena Mae Sharpe of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Kevin Sharpe, occurred on Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at home. Born on October 11, 1973 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of Gerry and Sheila (Paul) Barlow. She worked in child care at Kchikhusis Day Care. Rowena enjoyed the outdoors which included walking, barbeques with family and she also liked shopping.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her children, Kristen, Logan and Noah; sisters, Arlene Brooks (Randy), Jeannie Brooks (Richard); brothers, Nelson Barlow (Bonnie) and Kirk Barlow (Roxanne) all of Fredericton, NB; special aunt, Pam Paul; special nieces, Ambyr Bartlett; several nieces, nephews and her best friend, Lesley-Ann Cole (Jeff) of Fredericton, NB. Rowena was predeceased by her grandparents, Fred Paul Sr. (Clara) and Alex Barlow (Ruby).
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Saturday, March 24, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Sunday, March 25, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church on Monday, March 26, 2012 at 11am with Father Monte Peters as celebrant. Pallbearers for the service are Randy Brooks Jr., Tyler Barlow, Alex Barlow, Ernest Brooks, Lesley-Ann Cole and Jeff Cole. Interment will take place in St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Kchikhusis Day Care or the IWK Children’s Wish Foundation. Personal condolences may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
