Obituary of Carmen Jones

The passing of Carmen Roberta (MacDonald) Jones, wife of the late Wendell Jones, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on March 4, 2012 at York Manor Nursing Home. Born on February 14, 1921 in Burtts Corner, NB, she was a daughter of the late John and Edna (Urquhart) MacDonald. Carmen is survived by her son, Bryan Crouse of Burtts Corner, NB; two grandchildren, Krista Gilbert of Hanwell, NB and Edward Crouse of Burtts Corner, NB; four great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Percy Crouse; her sisters, Edith Holmes and Margaret Bird and brother, Eldon MacDonald. There will be no visitation by request. A Memorial Service will be held from York Care Centre (Friendship Centre) on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 11 am with Rev. Mary Tingley officiating. Interment will take place at Burtts Corner Community Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Burtts Corner Community Cemetery or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
