Obituary of Marion McCoy
The passing of Marion Grace (Goodine) McCoy of Fredericton, wife of the late Albert “Abe” McCoy, occurred on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the Pine Grove Nursing Home in Fredericton. Born on August 20, 1939, Marion was a daughter of the late Dell and Frances (Storey) Goodine. She attended Capital Community Church where she spent time as a Sunday School Teacher and volunteered to help with many functions.
Marion is survived by her children, Robert McCoy (Judy), Cindy Asher (Robert), Tammy Estey (Stephen) and Dana McCoy; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Greta Thomas (James), Ronnie Goodine, Albert Goodine (Faye), Gary Goodine, Faye VanHorne (Wendell), Donald Goodine (Mary), Debra Goodine, Sheldon Goodine (Kelly) and Linda Vey (Ronnie); several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Marion was predeceased by a brother, Milfred.
A Private Family visitation will be held on Sunday, March 4, 2012, from 7-9 pm at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton. Public visitation will take place on Monday, March 5, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from the Capital Community Church on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at 2 pm with Rev. Raymond Woodword officiating. Pallbearers for the service will be Marion’s grandchildren. Interment will be in Dayton Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer Society or the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
