Obituary of Iris Morehouse

The passing of Iris Marlene “Lylee” Morehouse, wife of the late Reginald A. Morehouse, of Zealand, NB, occurred on February 16, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on January 29, 1935 in Zealand, NB, she was a daughter of the late William and Sadie (Crouse) Estey. Lylee enjoyed playing bingo and loved her dog, Scout. Lylee is survived by her daughters, Beverly (Kevin) Guiggey and Jocelyn Roden all of Zealand, NB; her sons, Simon, Bentley, Shawn (Tammy) Morehouse all of Zealand, NB and Chuck (Michelle) Morehouse of Lincoln, NB; ten grandchildren, Candace, Courtney, Crystal, Laura, Ryan, Emma, Megan, Catlin, Nicholas and Brandon; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Donna (Eldon) King, Myra (Jack) Murphy and Clarice Fawcett; her brother, Wendell (Carolyn) Estey; several nieces and nephew and best friend, Doreen Morehouse. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son-in-law, Robbie Roden; sister, Leola Prosser and great nephew, Jodi Estey. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Saturday, February 18, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at 3 pm with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Pallbearers are Dwayne Prosser, Robbie Brewer, Terry, Darren and Kevin King and Barry Morehouse. Interment will take place in the Zealand Community Cemetery at a later date.
