Obituary of Raymond Pringle

The passing of Raymond Ian “Junior” Pringle of Stanley, NB, husband of the late Beatrice (Thomas) Pringle, occurred on Monday, January 2, 2012 at the Nashwaak Villa, Stanley, NB. Born on January 4, 1932 in Williamsburg, NB, he was the son of the late Raymond Sr. and Lila (MacKay) Pringle. In his earlier years he farmed and operated Pringles Grocery; he then worked for various companies as an Equipment Operator; retiring from NB Power in 1996. He was an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion Beaverbrook Branch # 80. Junior was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed flowers and birds; he especially loved his grandchildren. Junior is survived by his daughter, Charmaine Chase (Gary) of Fredericton, NB; son, Lovell Pringle (Sharon) of Stanley, NB; grandchildren, Nathan Pringle and Laura Pringle (Craig Merrill); brother, Gilbert Pringle (Margaret) of Dartmouth, NS; brother-in-law, Vernon Thomas (Linda) of Cross Creek, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth Hossack and brothers, Ernest and Robert. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #80 are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 7 pm for a Legion Tribute Service. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 11 am with Rev. Wendy Amos-Binks officiating and Pastor Gordon Mowry assisting. Interment will take place in Williamsburg Community Cemetery. The family wishes to thank his caregivers, Sheila and Linda Campbell and the staff of Nashwaak Villa for their compassion and care.
