Obituary of Marie Hachey

The passing of Marie “Louise” (LaTulippe) Hachey, wife of the late Alex Hachey, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on December 9, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on April 27, 1917 in Tabusintac, NB, she was a daughter of the late Pierre and Emma (Guignard) LaTulippe. Louise worked in housekeeping at the VPH in Fredericton, NB. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 4 Ladies Auxiliary. She loved camping, fishing, gardening and being outdoors as well as building things, knitting, sewing and cooking. Louise is survived by her sons, Peter Casey (Sheila) of Fredericton, NB and Albert Caissie (Betty) of Hamilton, ON; grandchildren: Glen Watson, Donna Caissie, Brian (Amanda) Caissie, Wendy (Mike) Hill, Mary Caissie (Mario), Dwayne Caissie, Jody (Jolene) Caissie, Janice Caissie (Rob) all of ON, Terry (Helen) Caissie of NS, Bert (Mary) Caissie of NS, Cindy Waters, Brent (Tina) Caissie of ON, Dr. Pamela Casey, Barbara Casey (Patrick Brooks) and Teresa (Ron) MacKinnon all of NB; 28 great grandchildren; numerous great great grandchildren; sister, Alma Savoie of Neguac, NB; brother, Allard LaTulippe of Tabusintac and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her 1st and 2nd husbands, Edouard Caissie and Robert McGinnis; son, Alfred Caissie; sisters, Genevieve LaTulippe and Ida Martin; brothers, Issac, Edouard, Adelard and Peter. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 4 Ladies Auxiliary are asked to assemble for a Tribute Service at 7 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held from St. Anthony’s Church, 603 Union Street, Fredericton, NB on Monday, December 13, 2010 at 11 am with Father Monte Peters as celebrant. Interment will take place at St. Anthony’s Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
