Obituary of Denys Leeming

The death of Denys “Dan” Leeming of Fredericton, NB, husband of Geraldine (Priest) Leeming, occurred on Saturday December 18, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in England on February 29, 1920, he was the son of the late Harold and Dorothy (Skeen) Leeming. Denys was a veteran of WW II, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #4 Fredericton and retired school teacher from Woodstock High School. Besides his wife, Denys is survived by his son, Bill (Shirley) Leeming of Burtts Corner, NB; daughters, Barbara Monteith of Woodstock, NB, Anne (Murray) Pratt of Woodstock, NB and Ruth (Charles) Adams of Saint John, NB; step sons, Everett (Susan) Fowler of Holtville, NB and Joey (Vicki) Fowler of Boiestown, NB; step daughters, Ev Fowler and Natalie (Wayne) Steen both of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Denys was predeceased by his brother, Richard Leeming; sister, Stella Carson; son in law, Charles Monteith and step son, Nathan Fowler. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 from 1-2 pm followed by a Funeral Service at 2 pm with Canon Richard Harris of Saint Michaels Parish of the Anglican Catholic Church of Canada officiating. The Interment will take place in the Stone Ridge Cemetery at a later date. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 4 are asked to assemble for a tribute service on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 2 pm.
