Dorothy Sarah Grey, wife of the late William D. Grey, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Sunday, December 19, 2010. Born on August 18, 1931 in Ripples, NB, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Violet (MacLean) Sparks.
She is survived by her son, Robert William Grey (Natalie Soloman - Grey) of Durhan Bridge, NB; daughter, Ann-Marie Grey of Fredericton, NB; grandsons, Robert Charles William Grey of Vancouver, BC and Gordon Alexander Grey of Kingsclear, NB; sisters, Ilene O’Hara of Calais, ME, Lilly Marshall (Lloyd) of Browns Cove Kars, NB and Maxine Bell (Earl) of Ripples, NB; brothers, Gordon Sparks (Elva) of Saint John, NB, Hugh Sparks of Sussex, NB and Royden Sparks (Yvonne) of Ripples, NB.
Although there will be no visitation by request; a Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday December 29, 2010 at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church (New Facility) at 2 pm with Canon Bill MacMullin officiating. Interment will take place in Ripples Community Cemetery, at a later date. Due to allergies, the family request no flowers, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Diabetes Association or the Canadian Red Cross Home Equipment Loan Program would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
