Obituary of Arthur Bunker
The passing of Arthur Irvine “Art” Bunker of Fredericton, NB, husband of Isabel (Thompson) Bunker occurred on Friday, December 31, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on August 21, 1919 in Rusagonis, NB, he was the son of the late Percy and Greta (Phillips) Bunker. Art was a veteran of WWII having served in England and France. He was a member of Devon Park Baptist Church. Prior to his retirement, Art worked his entire career for J. Clark and Sons.
In addition to his wife of 66 years, Art is survived by his daughter, Donna Wilson (Henry) of Penniac, NB; grandchildren, Tim Wilson (Debbie), John Wilson (Melissa) and David Wilson (Shannon); great grandchildren, Meaghan, Macayla, Mattias and Kyla; sisters, Evelyn Moore of Fredericton, NB and Sandra Wood (Labaron) of Nackawic, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Percy and Carl.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, January 2, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Devon Park Baptist Church on Monday, January 3, 2011 at 2 pm with Rev. Terry Woodcock, Pastor Lawrence Meade and Rev. Dr. Peter Sherwood officiating. Interment will take place in Fredericton Rural Extension Cemetery at a later date.
