Obituary of Nioma Flemming

The passing of Nioma “Nony” Maxine Flemming of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Murray Flemming occurred on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born on May 24, 1923 in NB, she was the daughter of the late Millard and Minnie (Morehouse) Brewer. She stayed at home with her family until the passing of her husband, she then did janitorial work at UNB for a couple of years. Nony was a member of the Marysville Bowling League and loved spending time with her family. Nony is survived by her daughter, Debby Fox (Malcolm) of South Hampton, NB; grandchildren, Robyn Parsons (Chris) of Halifax, NS, Matthew Fox (Michelle) of Kingston, ON and Ashley Clancy (Fred) of Beaverdam, NB; great grandchildren, Jackson, Josie and Sean; brother, Reginald Brewer of Zealand, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Eugenia Curtis and sister-in-law, Elaine Brewer. Visitation will take place York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Saturday, January 8, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at 2 pm with Rev. Lona Johnston. Interment will take place in Sunny Bank Cemetery in the spring.
