Obituary of Brian Estey

The passing of Brian Frederick Estey of Fredericton, NB, husband of Phyllis (Saunders) Estey, occurred unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on April 24, 1940 in Marysville, NB, he was the son of the late Robert and Mary (Pike) Estey. Brian was an Electrical Engineer with NB Power for 32 years. He was a member of the 25 Year Club of NB Power. Brian was very involved with Marysville baseball in both the minor and senior levels. In addition to his wife, Brian is survived by his daughter, Diane Gibson (Sandy) of Fredericton, NB; sons, Danny Estey, Joel Estey (Shyanne) and Jamie Estey all of Fredericton, NB; special daughter, Tara Estey of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Alycia, Brianna, Chelsie, Hali, Adam, Jacob and Brynn; sister, Joan Harvey of Fredericton, NB and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Melvin Estey. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, January 13, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, 130 Crockett Street, Marysville, NB on Friday, January 14, 2011 at 2 pm with Father Aaron Knox as celebrant.
