Obituary of Greta Christina Noble

The passing of Greta Alice Christina (Thomas) Noble of Charters Settlement, NB, wife of Gary Noble occurred on Monday, January 31, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on January 19, 1937 in Tay Creek, NB, she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Eva (MacKinnon) Thomas. Greta was an active member of The Church of the Holy Trinity. In addition to her husband, Greta is survived by her children, Kathy Gallant (Randy), Susan Curtis (Bill) and Steven Gallant (Angie); step daughters, Karrie Ann and Terri Jane Noble; grandchildren, Christopher, Melissa, Andrew, Tami, Jesse and Jamie; great grandchildren, Emma, Ashlyn and Ethan; siblings, Hazen Thomas (Ellen), Velma Skinner, Wilma Bowlen (Roger) and Juanita Burchill (Merv); several nieces and nephews; her dog “Buddy’ and cat “Snookie”. Besides her parents and first husband, George Gallant, Greta was predeceased by her son, Derek Gallant; great grandchildren, Aiden and Samara and brother, Dave Thomas. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, February 3, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at The Church of the Holy Trinity, Nasonworth on Friday, February 4, 2011 at 2 pm with Canon Bruce McKenna officiating and Canon John Cathcart assisting. Interment will take place in St. Mary the Virgin Church Cemetery at a later date.
