Obituary of Laura Anderson

Laura Dawn Anderson returned to her eternal home on Friday, February 11, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on June 9, 1932 in Kingsley, NB, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Bessie Anderson. In her early years, Laura worked as a secretary for DJ Sparling and then was the Comptroller of University Press. After working for awhile, Laura went on a spiritual quest to India for six years, after coming home she cleaned houses, sold Stanley Home Products and had a typing service for students. In her spare time, she loved to write poetry and to sing with her precious niece, Julie Ella. It was in the last few weeks of her life that she truly believed she had found the spirit of God dwelling within her. Each day she sang a new song. Laura is survived by her two sisters, Ruby Hagerman and Pearl Moore, also a cherished niece, Julie Ella Hagerman and a number of spiritual brothers and sisters. Besides her parents, Laura was predeceased by her twin sister, Leota Marguerite and her childhood dog, Pat. Although there will be no visitation by request. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Anthony’s Church, Union Street on Monday, February 14, 2011 at 2 pm with Father Monte Peters as celebrant. Interment will take place in St. Anthony’s Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
