Obituary of Vera Morgan

The passing of Vera Genevieve Morgan of Burtts Corner, NB, wife of the late Marcus Morgan, occurred on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on April 11, 1914 in Upper Keswick, NB, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Inez (Morehouse) McKeil. Vera was a member of the St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Zealand and a past member of the WA, she also sang in the choir. She enjoyed quilting and bowling. Vera is survived by her sons, Neil McKeil (Claudia) of Lower Coverdale, NB and Eric Morgan (Ann) of Upper Keswick, NB; four grandchildren, Debbie Crouse (Wayne), Peter McKeil (Debbie), Lorie Swetnam (John) and Matthew Morgan (Melissa); great grandchildren, Terry Crouse, Erin Crouse, Jessica McKeil, Melissa Swetnam, Carrie Arseneau, Jamie Swetnam and Marcus Morgan; great great grandchildren, Colby, Sydney, Everett, Abigail and Jackson; sister, Evelyn Boyle of Fredericton, NB and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Donald; sisters, Florence Jones and Ethel McNulty; brothers, Wendell, Cecil, Basil and Paul McKeil. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, February 17, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, February 18, 2011 at 2 pm with Canon John T. Sharpe officiating and Rev. Debbie Edmondson assisting. Interment will take place in St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery, Zealand or the charity of the donor’s choice.
